RN Weekend Supervisor
Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Nursing Supervisor to lead our nursing team in providing high-quality patient care. Responsibilities
- Supervise nursing staff and coordinate patient care activities to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Conduct assessments and develop care plans for patients with various medical needs.
- Provide guidance in ventilating patients and catheterizing as necessary.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance primary care services and manage acute pain effectively.
- Oversee utilization review processes to ensure appropriate resource allocation.
- Maintain knowledge of physiology and medical imaging to support clinical decision-making.
- Support staff development through training programs focused on working with people with developmental disabilities.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient safety and care delivery.
Requirements
- Registered Nurse (RN) license with relevant experience in a supervisory role preferred.
- Strong clinical skills in acute care settings, including experience in hospital medicine.
- Knowledge of sonography techniques is a plus.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively lead a diverse team.
- Ability to perform under pressure while maintaining a focus on patient-centered care.
- Previous experience in utilization review or case management is advantageous.
