Apprenticeship Coordinator

Grant funded position.  The Apprenticeship Coordinator will develop the apprenticeship program with Heartland Forward and with Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.  Responsible for support for the participants and program sustainability.
 
Responsibilities include:
  • Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to identify and develop training programs to meet the needs of local business and industry partners through registered apprenticeship programs.
  • Serve as the linkage between industry standards, college programs, training providers, employers, and apprentices.
  • Work directly with partners to develop the key elements of the apprenticeship programs and assist in the various stages of development, including allocating resources to best accomplish the program goals.
  • Collaborate with college departments, high school representatives, etc., to identify career pathways for creating a sustainable pipeline through apprenticeship.  Identify proper training and career pathways for each student.
  • Work directly with all departments of the college including Workforce Development, Career Services, and Student Services.  Collaborate as necessary to articulate apprenticeship programs to college credit and degree programs.
  • Build relationships with community partner organizations and ensure compliance with grant funding and reporting requirements.
  • Participate on appropriate committees and in professional associations/organizations at the campus, regional, and state levels to represent the College and programs.
Bachelor’s degree is required.  Three years of industry experience and/or experience working in workforce development required.  An equivalent combination of education and/or work experience may be considered.  Experience working in higher education or community colleges preferred.
Salary range is $35,568 - $39,500. Excellent fringe benefit package including, but not limited to health, dental, vision, and life insurance; sick and vacation leave; and the Missouri Public School & Education Employee Retirement System.
