The Pajama Game
In the TRC Music Department’s annual spring musical, conditions at the Sleep-Tite Pajama Factory are anything but peaceful as sparks fly between new superintendent Sid Sorokin, and Babe Williams, leader of the union grievance committee. Their stormy relationship comes to a head when the workers strike for a 7 ½ cent pay increase, setting off not only a conflict between management and labor but also a battle of the sexes. Based on the 1953 novel 7 ½ Cents by Richard Bissell, “The Pajama Game” is a perennial favorite and is brimming with toe-tapping songs and dances making it a surefire crowd-pleaser. Performances are at 7 p.m. on April 28-29 and 2 p.m. on April 30 at the Tinnin Fine Arts Center. Admission is free.
