DESCRIPTION:The fourth annual Daily American Republic Difference Makers banquet will be held at 6 p.m. Aug. 18 at the Black River Coliseum.\n\nThis event recognizes the people who give generously of their time and talents every day to make our communities better. This year the 10 finalists for the Difference Maker of the Year award are LuWanna Forster\; Craig Meador\; Donna Gause\; Jessica Billings\; Judy Gregory\; Stacey Ritter\; Linda Martin\; Gary and Leisa Pennington\; Karen Vallow\; and Amber Tyler.\n\nThese area residents help our communities by supporting efforts to improve the lives of children\, protect the community through severe weather monitoring and notifications\, take care of abandoned and homeless animals\, and in many other ways.\n\nThe public is invited to help us celebrate the efforts of these individuals\, and also help raise money for a great cause\, the domestic violence shelter Haven House.\n\nTickets are free by calling 573-785-1414. The evening will include dinner\, live music\, a raffle for $500 in free gas\, and silent auctions\, in addition to naming the Difference Maker of the Year for 2022.
